One of the most
obvious website designs I could think of was National Public Radio’s. It’s easy to scroll through the different
articles that have picture icons, which is the first and most obvious
function. All the other functions are self-explanatory. The column on the right is clearly labeled as
news, and the options at the top of the screen are all simple and clear. Clicking Topics opens a menu of different
choices, as seen below.
The Programs button opens a list of the various regular
programs, the play button alongside wfiu clearly affords clicking to listen to
the local radio station, and the listen button opens a window of apps and other
ways to listen to NPR. Overall, it’s a
very clean and simple website that can be maneuvered easily. It's very easy to use, whether you're interested in updates in general, or a more specific topic.
