For the YouTube project my partner and I decided that we were going to redesign the format of the home page. We made it so that it was easy to locate the most popular video of the week, along with that we separate the videos into categories. These categories could then be filtered by clicking on the top left of the categories box, once you clicked on the box you are then able to choose from most popular in the last day, 48 hours, week, biweekly, monthly, and yearly. The user would no how to operate the filter because their are many filters on websites, and with the experience of navigating other filters one's mental model to easily comprehend what is going on.
In contrast with the implementation model, one might say that a frequent user or programmer might like the current version of YouTube because they would already know how to navigate through the website and our revised model might have made it more difficult for them to do so in the future.
